There are still many zones around the world where adequate systems for aquatic transportation of heavy cargo, such as machinery, and vehicles, are not available; in other cases, natural disasters frequently leave entire geographical areas isolated, and aquatic transportation is the only option available; this is a problem for which a solution is not always viable in the short term

ETEC has developed a TRANSFORMABLE & MOTORIZED BARGE, for navigation in in-land waters, with the capacity to move heavy weight cargo. The barge is transported by truck to the operation site, under the shape of a 40' Container (therefore its name); upon arrival, the barge is assembled and put into operation almost immediately.

The TRANSFORMABLE BARGE is the Immediate Intervention Equipment for solving needs of heavy aquatic transportation during flooding, natural disasters, or military support operations in isolated geographical areas.

The steel made hull is constructed in two (2) sections, both of which are "folded" into the shape of a 40' container, for transportation to anywhere in the world.

Upon arrival to final destination, the barge is assembled uniting the two sections by mechanical means, being rapidly "transformed" into shape, and put in operation at once.

Four central tanks, for the storage of 2,600 gallons of fluids.

Power supplied by one or two Marine engines, with 71 hp. each, installed below deck, with one 750 gal. fuel tank.
Cast 304 rust free iron propellers

Commanding platform built on top of engine compartment. 2 three-meter-long platforms on the barge front, for vehicle's access to deck. These parts are stored inside the barge during transportation.
